Watertight three-phase asynchronous motors with an IP68 protection rating.
BTSP and BTSQ series three-phase submersible electric motors are built with an IP68 protection rating and are designed to work while entirely submerged in water, up to a depth of 30 meters (3 bar). They have F class winding and B class over-temperature, with standard V.230Δ/400Y or V.400Δ/690Y voltage and frequency of 50 Hz. The product range includes motors with the polarity of 4, 6 and 8, made entirely from cast iron for motors up to BTSQ270 and with an iron casing and cast iron components for the BTSP series.
Mechanical seals, which don't allow water to seep into the internal part of the motor, are assembled onto the shaft, having been suitably selected for its applications. The shaft is made from C43 carbon steel but can be made from stainless steel (AISI 304, AISI 316, AISI 420), upon request, according to customers' designs.
The motors are designed to work in S1 duty, submerged in liquids with maximum temperatures of 40°C and a moderately acidic or basic pH level. Direct starting for motors up to size BTSQ152 and direct or star-delta starting from size BTSQ173 onwards. The supply cables are jacketed in H07RN8-F neoprene rubber. The construction form of the motors is B5, not standardized.
The versatility of SICEI submersible motors allows them to be used in the most disparate of applications, including submersible pumps, submersible mixers and general underwater agitators, water purification systems, as well as grabs and dredges for the excavation of inert materials.
This series of motors, with polarity 4 pole and powers between kW 11 and kW 30, can be produced upon request with IE3 high efficiency.
